QUEENS ANNOUNCES NEW INVENTORS AND ENTREPRENEURS CLUB

Monthly meetings to provide access to resources and information for inventors and entrepreneurs.

 

Queens, N.Y., Feb. 13, 2019 — The Queens Inventors and Entrepreneurs Club will host their first monthly meeting on Feb. 19, 2019 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. The newly-formed club is hosted by the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at LaGuardia Community College/CUNY in Long Island City, N.Y..

Guests will hear from established inventors Brian Fried and Chris Landano as they discuss the club’s mission and provide insight on how to become an inventor. Meeting topics will include Intellectual Property Protections, Design & Product Development, Manufacturing, Licensing and Marketing. The information provided through the Queens Inventors and Entrepreneurs Club can be valuable to anybody who participates, from the most seasoned entrepreneur to the aspiring inventor.

Fried, who also serves as the United Inventors Association Executive Director, is the founder and president of the Long Island Inventors and Entrepreneurs Club, and has previously been running inventors clubs for both Nassau and Suffolk counties individually for over 12 years. He has been working with the SBDC to help launch the club and bring its value to the Queens community of inventors and entrepreneurs.

“Our goal is to bring valuable information and access to resources for inventors and entrepreneurs into the Queens community,” Fried said. “Members get to hear from experienced inventors while networking with other innovators, patent attorneys, engineers, manufacturers and more. We’ve been doing this for a few years in Long Island, and have seen tremendous growth and success from our members. We hope to do the same here in Queens.”

Fried’s expertise comes with over 15 years of experience as a mentor to inventors, including celebrities. He is the author of Inventing Secrets Revealed and You & Your Big Ideas. A thought-leader of the industry, Fried has been featured with products on As Seen On TV, home shopping channels, catalogs and online retailers through licensing and manufacturing. As president of his consultancy Inventor Smart, Fried aids clients through constructive feedback, product development and more help them bring their ideas to market. The Founder and President of the Long Island Entrepreneurs Club recent appearances include the 2018 Invention-Con hosted by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Fried was recently appointed as Executive Director of the United Inventors Association of the United States of America.
