Steve Allen cut his sales teeth selling Wear-Ever cookware and Cutco cutlery door to door while in college. He was the #1 salesman in the country personally while leading the #1 sales organization in the country as well. After 10 years of selling door to door, he became a “company” sales representative for a large housewares company. Five years later, he left that company and started his own manufacturer’s representative firm.
For the last 32 years, Allen Marketing has been the sales and marketing arm in his territory for housewares companies of all sizes. He has sold to every type of retail customer from the smallest specialty store to the world’s largest retailer located in NW Arkansas.
Mr. Allen is most noted for helping a number of start up companies develop and market new products. He created sales from scratch for many well known companies such as Krups Appliances, Brita water filters, American Harvest Jet Stream Oven, Thermoscan Ear Thermometers, The Fine Art of Garnishing Kit which was featured on morning talk shows nationwide, Quicksilver silver cleaner, Back to Basics, Simac Ice Cream machines, etc.
Manufacturer’s Representatives are the sales and marketing arms of companies that do not have a company sales force. Our job is to not only sell the merchandise into the retailer, but also, help them sell it through to the ultimate consumer.
