LOCAL INVENTION EXPERT BRIAN FRIED TO JOIN USPTO INVENTOR DAY EVENT IN FARMINGDALE, N.Y.
The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office presents free, one-day program through the Small Business Development Center at Farmingdale State College.
Long Island, N.Y., May 15, 2019 — The Founder and President of the Long Island Inventors and Entrepreneurs Club, Brian Fried, is joining the USPTO Inventor Day with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and the Small Business Development Center at Farmingdale State College. Fried has collaborated with the USPTO at previous events.
The event will be held Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 9 am to 4:45 pm EDT in the Farmingdale State College Campus Center Ballroom. The agenda is filled with panels and presentations from industry experts sharing their stories, experiences and best practices for new ideas, product development, and distribution through licensing and manufacturing. This event is free and open to the public.
Topics of discussion and opportunities for attendees include the value of patents and trademarks, federal and local resources available to help entrepreneurs start or grow a business, strategies to leverage IP assets, and networking opportunities with experts in the IP and the small business growth and development fields. Speakers and panelists include experts from both government and the private sector. Additionally, attendees can gain insight into the patent process as well as a chance to meet with the Long Island Inventors and Entrepreneurs Club, recognized as one of the top invention groups in the country.

In addition to acting President and Founder of the Long Island Inventors Club, he currently serves as the Executive Director of the United Inventors Association. “We’ve been focusing on bringing bigger opportunities and access to resources for the inventor and entrepreneur community. We’ll also have successful inventors and resources from different groups and companies including the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter.”
Fried’s expertise comes with over 15 years of experience as a mentor to inventors, including celebrities. He is the author of Inventing Secrets Revealed and You & Your Big Ideas. A thought-leader of the industry, Fried has been featured with products on As Seen On TV, home shopping channels, catalogs and online retailers through licensing and manufacturing. As president of his consultancy Inventor Smart, Fried aids clients through constructive feedback, product development and more help them bring their ideas to market. The Founder and President of the Long Island Entrepreneurs Club most recent appearance includes the 2019 National Hardware Show and the 2018 Invention-Con hosted by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Fried is also the Executive Director of the United Inventors Association of the United States of America.
